“One Breath” workshop was cultivated from Pan’s ongoing social calligraphy projects. The purpose is to integrate ancient East Asian calligraphic knowledge into contemporary life with an open heart. The big challenge has always been the language. How could someone practice calligraphy without knowing any Chinese or Japanese characters? “One Breath” workshop makes this possible by focusing on brushwork and the mindful process.
Our humanity is facing more challenges from different aspects nowadays. The inquiry of who am I becomes the question again! For Pan, "only when using the brush, I feel I am still alive."
